This design was a pitch for the restyling of the corporate identity brand of the city 's-Hertogenbosch. After studying the history of this great city within the Netherlands, we chose two elements that where of great importance for this city. The city was known for it’s great vestige which was build on a hill surrounded by swamps. Because of this ‘s-Hertogenbosch was nearly impossible to invade. That’s why the city got it’s nickname, the Swamp Dragon. Another important aspect was that the city was called ‘s-Hertogenbosch with a reason. On that hill there was a huge forest that was called “het bos van de Hertogen”, (which means the forest of the dukes). Even today, ’s-Hertogenbosch is one of the greenest cities of the Netherlands and they tend to keep it that way. So, the elements are a dragon and a forest.
